I LOVE a senior session that specifically doesn’t want the traditional ‘arms-crossed-fake-smile-leaning-against-a-brick-wall-while-mom-barks-”that’s-not-your-real-smile!”’ portraits. I’ve never had such a good time during a senior session than during Jackson’s. He was such a champ doing lay-up after lay-up while I got the perfect shot.
Such a champ. 10/10 would photograph him again!

What a surprise it was to head online to watch a livestream of Rochester, MN local musician Fires of Denmark and see my photo featured on Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current! It was an unexpected and much welcome perk after years of photographing artists and musicians.
Photographing Mike Terrill in his basement studio was a blast. Capturing his raw passion and enthusiasm for his music was inspiring and a reminder of why I love photographing emerging creatives. He is one of the many people who has given their blood, sweat, and tears to put the Rochester, Minnesota music scene on the map.
